Have you ever heard of Art Abandonment?
It’s a growing group of artist around the world who leave small (and sometimes not so small) pieces of their art to be found by random people.
I’ve been doing this for years (never knowing the outcome.)
But they have a blog and a Facebook page about it where you share when and where you’ve left your art and if so inclined the finder can post about finding it.
I gave a few of my ‘faces’ to Son2 to scatter around the St. Pete area.
Here’s hoping the finders are pleased!!!

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him... (Oh man, this is so bad it's good. . .) a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

I haven’t been actively participating, meaning I haven’t been posting my faces to the Facebook page or even here. And I haven’t linked to the 29 Faces blog. But I thought I’d share what I’ve done so far……
Not really stretching myself.....but at least I'm keeping up!
Some I like, some I HATE, but......truth in advertising as they say. LOL

But I shouldn’t...…
Because just when I think I can’t remember any more childhood stories….
Or that nothing ever happens around here that is interesting…….
I go and do something so incredibly stupid or unbelievable and…..
There’s the blog nugget for the next day!
I bought an exercise bike.
It’s a spin bike.
This means you lean over the handlebars when you ride.
Okay, I can get used to that.
I’ve adjusted and feebed (it is SO a word!) around with it to get it just right.
So there I am peddling away, and finding out how really out of shape I’ve allowed myself to get…….
I’m getting achy leaning over the handlebars so I let go and sit upright and as I do I feel an unusual POP in my………tail bone.
Yup….only I could injure my coccyx sitting on a stationary bike!
It’s not like I even fell off the damn thing!
I was just SITTING!
Lesson learned: No good intention goes unpunished! I’m trying to get healthier and this is the thanks I get!!!!
Although…….looking for the silver lining……it hurts to sit so I’m standing and moving around more, and that will burn more calories!
I WILL ride again!

A diminutive accordion book made by my very talented friend annie! of bohemiannie! art (and here on Flickr.)
Is that awesome or what!!!
Thank you annie!

When I was in school I had an English teacher who would assign lengthy essays as punishments.
He would choose the titles.
They were amazing!
“My Life as a Doorknob”
“Life Inside a Ping Pong Ball’
I used to TRY and get into trouble just so I could write one! (Okay, so it wasn’t a stretch for me to get into trouble, but still…)
I wish I had kept them. I would love to re-read what my adolescent little brain was thinking.
I wonder if I was any more twisted than I am now.
