Meet Ichabod
The driftwood garden is coming along nicely, thank you.
This is Ichabod, the latest addition.
We think he's the perfect piece to greet people as they come up the walk.
He seems to beckon to you with his unusually long arm. It goes along with his extremely long tail (for balance, you know.)
The neighbors approve of him although they did say it looks just a little bit questionable about what might happen once you get inside........
(I love it when you can freak out your neighbors......bwahahahahahahahaha....)

I think this describes her perfectly.
Confabulator…….painting with words, writing with images, filling in the gaps with fabrication.
.....the only thing I wonder is, who is inventing whom.......?

Apropos of Nothing
I dreamed about Sammy last night.
I dreamed we left him with a neighbor when we moved and now
we were back for a visit.
When I walked up to their house Sammy was laying on the
porch. He was old and grey and blind from cataracts.
When he heard my voice, just one word, he jumped up like a
puppy and came to me excited and wagging his tail. He was glad to see me!
I felt both sad and happy.
Sad because I felt
guilty that we had left him behind and happy because we were together again.
We
rolled around on the porch, me laughing and Sammy licking my face, in sheer
delight of each other. Then we went home together.
I woke still feeling happy but as I came wider awake the
happiness faded as I realized it was just a dream.

Burrowing Owls Video
Our neighbor made a lovely slideshow about the family of burrowing owls that have taken up residence in the empty lot across the street.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
