I seem to be avoiding finishing the faces I was working on. I don’t know why.
Or maybe I do.
Fear of messing them up? Fear that they won’t turn out as well as I had hoped? Fear that they will be rejected?
Basically fear.
So instead of doing the work I SHOULD be doing, I’m doing this.

I do that sort of thing too or I paint what I am afraid of on scrap paper rather than on good paper or in my journal. It's just another side of avoidance really.
ReplyDeleteIt will only last so long, then you'll be focusing on your lovely faces, suprised that you had abandoned them. And they will take you back and give you 100% cooperation with no questions asked. Aren't they good friends??
