I Must Be a Closet Architect

First I got these......

Which became these.......

Which morfed into these.........
Flat cut outs on the wall......BORING!

And these.......
But it still wasn't enough. I itched to make them 3-D.
So then came these.......
Which grew into this........
Paper Gotham City!

It takes two 8.5 x 11 sheets of card stock to make each building (the hi-rise takes four sheets.)

They average about six inches tall (more or less) after folding and gluing.

(Ignore the funny red tinge in these pictures. I used a red backdrop when I photographed them, but it looked too severe. So I changed it digitally. I'm just not skilled enough to know how to change the reflected light. LOL.)

Which I then played with in Photoshop......

I know it's old school, but it's so much fun!!!!
I can't stop!

  1. These are brilliant! A whole City in miniature. Are you going to add curtains, blinds, pigeons, and people to these? ...I can see how addictive this must be :)

  2. And a giant gorilla climbing one of the tall buildings, or a Spidermman, or Godzilla walking through the streets....

  3. Very cool. Are those stamps you ordered or did you make them? I love your city!

  4. ditto what Ann said. you definitely need pigeons...for sure!

  5. Wow Whee! Fabulousity, Robin! There is no EnD to playing with these!

I appreciate your comments!
