It’s been a little over a month since I first strapped on
the ‘Shackle of Shame’. I’ve worn it religiously every day. I’ve made my goal
of at least 10,000 steps every day! (Well, okay, except for the first three
days…..)
I’m here to tell you I LOVE it! It keeps me honest! And
moving. I’ve turned into a ‘health nut’ (and if you believe that I have some
nice swamp land you might like to buy….)
I deliberately avoided stepping on the scale during this
time because I tend to be impatient when it comes to losing weight. But I
thought after a month of continuous walking I could risk it.
Here’s the amazing part…..
Drum roll please…………….
After a whole month of 10,000 steps a day (and sore muscles)
I’ve lost…………ONE POUND!
Bad dum tshh……..
Talk about your anticlimax……
Cheer up!!
ReplyDeleteIt's more important to be on the move than to reach destination :D
ReplyDeleteIt's all good. You've gained muscle weight...betcha.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! One down. x to go.
ReplyDeleteI keep telling my son walking is exercise and he keeps laughing at me and saying no, it isn't. So what else can you put into the "shackle of shame"? Can it measure if you do some squats through the day like when you reach for a saucepan? Or can it measure if you walk faster? I don't have one of these "shackles" so I don't know just what they can measure. But you know, one pound a month just for walking won't tell your body it's losing weight so it starts to store up against it (that actually happens when people overdo exercise) so you could continue this and after a year it could be 12 pounds gone forever!
ReplyDeleteOh dear! All we can do is keep trying lol.x
ReplyDeleteHey, it’s great that the Fit is helping you become more active though! I think I would become obsessed with it too!
